Fireside Chat: Fostering social justice in language classrooms

Access to world language study for students from minoritized groups is a significant social justice issue in the field. Minoritized students’ inequitable access is supported by data from the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages, substantiating the elite nature of world language study.

In response to these issues, we invite educators, activists, and parents to join us as we discuss strategies that can disrupt these trends and ensure all students have access to world languages and cultures.
